If we do not have space at our homestay then we can arrange a stay with another host family locally in Oxford. Oxford is divided into a number of locations: for example, our homestay is in Headington but there are other areas inside central Oxford such as Botley, Marston, Summertown and Cowley while outside the centre of Oxford there are such places as Kidlington, Yarnton and Woodstock. We have homestay families in each of these areas.
Under the Homestay Oxford system you stay in a regular Oxford family home where you will be made welcome and where your host will try to make your stay a happy one. You will find a clean, tidy, safe and friendly environment in a normal British family and you will share the evening meal with them. You should find transportation into the city centre very easy for some locations by walking but otherwise by taking a regular town bus.
Some experiences will be new - that is part of the joy of staying in a home stay. It is a cross-cultural activity - both we and you will gain from the experience. The breakfast is contentinetal style and you will normally share the evening meal with the host family.

Self Catered Oxford Accommodation
If you would prefer a different form of accommodation in central Oxford we have a small number of self-catered places to offer. For example, this fully furnished accommodation (complete with linen and towels, futon bed,TV/DVD, internet, microwave/combi oven, fridge freezer etc) is very central and can accommodate one or two people on a short term hire basis..

This semi-detached property which is in a central location and has excellent transport connections can be hired for short-term lets or longer. It is fully furnished to a high specification and includes TV and internet.
A Homestay outside Oxford
An alternative to a homestay in Oxford is to experience a different style of life slightly outside Oxford, in a small town or even a village. Life is quieter and the pace of life slower. The people are generally more friendly and you will be much closer to nature.
We can even arrange a split stay with some time spent in the city and some time spent in a homestay outside Oxford. That way you could experience two styles of life, in fact, two cultures!
An extra option staying outside Oxford itself is to have English lessons with your host. If you let us know your requirements we will do our best to provide a suitable package for you.
An Example
This homestay is in a converted barn located in a quiet village less than 15 minutes drive from the famous tourist attraction, Blenheim Palace. It has a charming bedroom with king-size bed and includes an en-suite bathroom. You will have wi-fi internet access and TV. The tutor is an experienced teacher of English so that learning English with your tutor is an option if you want it. You can be confident of a friendly welcome.
